Some of Jaynes handling critiques

YKC Handling Classe 2nd Day – Pastoral & Working age 6-11 years

Judge – Helena Hutchings

1st Jayne Perks - Rottweiler

This young lady handled her Rottie with confidence again giving a lot of encouragement. Teeth presentation was extremely clear and she moved her charge at the correct pace. She kept calm and looked like she was relaxed and enjoying her time in the competition. Another excellent handler who will go a long way – Well done!

2nd Chloe Brutto – Border Collie

3rd Page Allen – Australian Sheppard

GLOUCESTER ANND DISTRICT CS 18th February 2007

Judge: Miss Leila Tarabad (Khatibi)

1. Jayne Perks (Rottweiler)

Smartly dressed young lady, extremely polite and professional throughout the class. Made handling such a large dog look easy. Whenever I looked over she had her dog standing perfectly. She showed the teeth well and completed all her patterns correctly. Still needs to neaten up the corners and make sure lines are always straight but definitely a handler to look out for as she gets older. Best Junior Handler

2. Katie Stewart (Labrador)

3. Melissa Phillips (CKCS)

Kettering and District CS 7th October 2006

Judge: Gail Storie

1. Jayne Perks

I have judged her before and her handling is always of a conistently high level. She smiles while handling, verbally encourages her dog in a calm, pleasant way and uses the ring well. She has good shadowing skills and performs accurate patterns. Had there have been an award for Best Overall Junior Handler she would have won it with ease.

Evesham and District CS 16th July 2006

Judge - Gail Storie

1. Jayne Perks

Handled a substitute dog as her own charge was somewhere on the showground with her father. She took in an Irish Setter, not only a dog that she had never handled before but also a breed she had never handled before and a breed that was in a different group to her own. Most accomplished, stacked the dog correctly and moved with pace and fluidity never getting ahead of her dog. A most impressive handler.

1. Hollie Kavanagh

Handling a Doberman - showed excellent shadowing skills, presented mouth correctly, completed patterns accurately

2. Jayne Perks

Handling a Rottweiler - a very close decision between 1 and 2 and similar remarks apply, just preferred the overall finished look of 1. 2 very promising young handlers

3. Ashlie Pike

Handling a Tervueren was let down by her shadowing skills.

4. Georgia Waterworth

Handling a Boxer - needs to have neater lead control .

5. Olivia Rose Smith

Handling a Shetland Sheepdog - needs neater lead control and she did not look at where I was standing before she started her patterns.

REDDITCH & DISTRICT CS 15th May 2005

Judge - Alex Hurley

1. Jayne Perks.

Well done, a good ‘up and coming’ Handler of the future. Listened to instructions carefully. Check ‘teeth/bite’ no fingers inside the mouth and alignments. Final Presentation.

2. Rebecca Philips,
